“I rushed to catch up with Mom, Dad, and my sister onto the elevated pedestrian walkway in search for Citistore Tsuen Wan Mall when suddenly we came across one of the bridges that seemed to pour water from under the roof.

It was the extremely strong wind that blew the heavy rain onto the path, flooding it and spilling over the sides. I couldn’t even see what was across the bridge. So much rain. So much wind. Now I knew why some people wore flip flops. There was no problem with getting feet and sandals wet. I crinkled my nose as I wiggled my toes uncomfortably in my soggy socks and soaked sneakers.”
